From SARS to COVID-19: lessons we should have learned (but we did not)

In 2002, a severe acute respiratory (SARS) epidemic, caused by coronavirus (SARS-CoV), affected significant number of countries and was interrupted after one year, approximately. Currently, disease 2019 (COVID-19), 2 (SARS-CoV-2), has been concern for the whole world, end pandemic does not appear near. this article, we briefly discussed lessons learned which fought SARS epidemic had succeeded in controlling COVID-19 pandemic. We also some main points that resulted failures to handle (COVID-19) Brazilian context, observed federal government delayed necessary measures be taken, less transparent disclose health data, neglected facemask usage mandates refused vaccine offerings. Despite previous outbreaks, are suffering during because did learn with SARS.
